Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Duron Carter returned to the practice field Monday for the first time since his bumping incident with Ottawa Redblacks head coach Rick Campbell that netted Carter a one-game suspension, but he wasn't a full participant.
Carter did not take part in any drills and had his helmet off walking through formations with the first team offence. The third-year receiver said he has been undergoing concussion protocol since last Tuesday after he started experiencing headaches at home in Florida during the team's bye week.
Carter added that if he's cleared to play Friday against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, he won't need any practice time to be ready.
Carter, along with the CFLPA, has appealed his one-game suspension and could be available to play Friday against the Tiger-Cats. There has yet to be a date set for Carter's appeal.
In other injury news, Kevin Glenn was not at Alouettes practice Monday.
According to Didier Ormejuste of RDS, Rakeem Cato practised with the starting unit as the team prepares to host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Friday.
According to Dave Campbell of 630 CHED in Edmonton, the Als have signed former Eskimos receiver Marcus Henry to their practice roster.
