Altidore named MLS Player of the Week
After making a successful, two goal debut in Toronto FC’s 3-1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, striker Jozy Altidore has been named MLS Player of the Week. Altidore scored Toronto FC’s first goal and also converted a penalty to secure the opening game victory.

After making a successful, two goal debut in Toronto FC’s 3-1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, striker Jozy Altidore has been named MLS Player of the Week.
Altidore scored Toronto FC’s first goal and also converted a penalty to secure the opening game victory.
The 25-year-old was also one of three Toronto FC players named to the MLS Team of the Week, as he was joined by Justin Morrow and team captain Michael Bradley.
Toronto FC head coach Greg Vanney was also included as coach of the MLS Team of the Week.
