Philadelphia Flyers forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare has been suspended one game by NHL Player Safety for his hit from behind on Washington Capitals defenceman Dmitry Orlov.

Philadelphia Flyers forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare has been suspended one game by NHL Player Safety for his hit from behind on Washington Capitals defenceman Dmitry Orlov.
Both players were racing for the puck in the corner midway through the third period of Game 3 on Monday night when Bellemare knocked Orlov head-first into the boards. Orlov was able to pull away from the line brawl that ensued and did not leave the game.
Bellemare was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for checking from behind.
The Capitals won the game 6-1 for a 3-0 series lead. Game 4 in Philadelphia is on Wednesday.
