It has come to my attention, again, that some twit has been impersonating me on Twitter.
It has happened a time or two in the past but the "tweets" were pretty innocuous and sporadic, but this latest twit has really been going to town with some outrageous comments and opinions and it's been a fairly steady flow.
I am sure, in due course, this fraud will be taken care of, but as I head off on my summer vacation, be clear on one thing: I do not have a Twitter account, I do not "tweet" and if you read anything on Twitter from Bob McKenzie, you can be absolutely guaranteed it's not coming from me.
As my colleague Darren Dreger has shown with his Twitter account, now with more 20,000 followers, the service can be a very useful tool in disseminating information very quickly and efficiently and it can nicely complement the presentation of breaking news on TSN and tsn.ca.
I have no doubt that when I come back from vacation I will open a Twitter account and "tweet" away.
But until then, please be advised that any Twitter info purporting to come from Bob McKenzie is bogus and fraudulent.
Have a nice summer.
