Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price's NHL return remains on hold with the flu and now a fever.
The club put Price on injured reserve Friday, meaning he can't return before Monday.
Price will not accompany the team to Ottawa for Saturday’s game against the Senators, head coach Michel Therrien said after Thursday’s game.
Price missed the Canadiens’ season opening victory over the Buffalo Sabres and was replaced by Al Montoya, who made 30 of 31 saves to earn the 4-1 victory. Last season, Price missed 70 games due to a knee injury.
Montoya will get the start in goal Saturday, with Charlie Lindgren serving as backup.
