| New GM Bob O'Billovich should bring some stability to an organization that has done everything right off the field but very little on. |
JoJuan Armour is the kind of talent you can build a defence around and his loss to free agency will hurt. |
Matt Dunigan's QB Analysis:
Casey Printers had an inauspicious return last season and hopefully he has put out all the fires he started when proclaiming his return and promising greatness. Instantly he alienated himself to many of his teammates and adoring fans. Let's hope Casey stays healthy and can regain the level of play we saw a few years back when he was wearing a Lions jersey. Richie Williams, Timmy Chang, Quinton Porter and now Chris Leak - nice! Sounds like, and is, an incredibly talented stable of young promising QBs. The Cats should be in a great, but young situation if Printers get's nicked. That is scary for a team that needs to be much better this season and certainly one that can't afford a lack of production from under the centre.
Duane Forde's Rookie To Watch:
With big play ability as both a receiver and a returner, Jonathan Carter (Troy State) has the potential to fill two glaring needs for the Tiger-Cats. With Jason Armstead now out of the picture in Steeltown, the Tabbies are hoping that this former New York Jet can make an immediate impression in either role.
Chris Schultz's Overview:
It's been three straight years without a playoff appearance, and Hamilton is coming off a 3-13 season. So what is going to be the difference this year? The ownership with the Ticats is excellent, the entertainment and the environment on game day are special, and the stadium has been improved and polished. Even the coaching staff this year is better than last year. Charlie Taaffe has hired Marcel Bellefeuille as offensive coordinator, Denny Creehan as defensive coordinator, and Dave Easley to oversee special teams. More...
| Area of Strength | Needs Improvement |
| The rushing game should be formidable this season with ratio-buster Jesse Lumsden and QB Casey Printers piling up the yardage. |
Where to start? More than anything, this team needs a boost of confidence to get things turned around. Losing can be a tough habit to break. |
| Playoff-Bound? | Or Homeward Bound |
| The organization seems to be on the right track on the field and having Printers and Lumsden on the field at the same time all season should allow the Tiger-Cats to rack up more wins. |
After a tough season, it may take too long for the new braintrust upstairs to incorporate the new personnel on the field and get rid of the losing culture. Maybe next year. |
