Eskimos reach out to Maas for HC interview
According to TSN's Gary Lawless, the Edmonton Eskimos reached out to the Ottawa Redblacks on Monday afternoon and were granted permission to interview Jason Maas for their head coaching position.

According to TSN's Gary Lawless, the Edmonton Eskimos reached out to the Ottawa Redblacks on Monday afternoon and were granted permission to interview Jason Maas for their head coaching position.
The Eskimos are looking for a new coach after the departure of Chris Jones to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Maas was the offensive coordinator for the East champion Redblacks this season. He was a coach with the Toronto Argonauts for the three seasons prior to that.
He had two stints as quarterback with the Eskimos over his CFL playing career and earned to Grey Cup rings in Edmonton. Maas also suited up for the Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The Eskimos also reached out to the Tiger-Cats seeking permission to interview defensive coordinator Orlondo Steinauer, but were denied.
