Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher will have surgery on Monday  to repair two fractured fingers on his left hand, the team announced following their 4-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Sunday.

Gallagher left the game in the second period after blocking a Johnny Boychuk shot, heading directly to the team's locker room.
