SUVA, Fiji - American Matt Kuchar shot an even-par 72 on Friday to take a two-stroke lead after the second round of the Fiji International.

Kuchar, who started the day two shots off the lead, made his move with three birdies between No.14 and No.17. He had five birdies against five bogeys at the Natadolo Bay Golf Club.

He was two shots clear of Aron Price, who was one of only five players to break par in the gusty conditions. Price was a shot ahead of Australian compatriot David McKenzie and New Zealand's Ryan Fox.

Former PGA Tour star Vijay Singh of Fiji was in a tie for 12th at nine-over after a second round 75. First-round leader Josh Geary shot 82 to drop into a tie for 19th.
