Leino breaks late tie, Bruins beat Red Wings
Ville Leino broke a tie with 4:40 left and the Boston Bruins beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-1 in an exhibition game Saturday night. Dougie Hamilton had a goal and an assist and Brad Marchand also scored for Boston (2-1-1).

DETROIT - Ville Leino broke a tie with 4:40 left and the Boston Bruins beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-1 in an exhibition game Saturday night.
Dougie Hamilton had a goal and an assist and Brad Marchand also scored for Boston (2-1-1). Tuukka Rask made 14 saves in the first two periods, and Jeremy Smith stopped eight shots in the third.
Landon Ferraro scored for Detroit (2-1-1), and Jonas Gustavsson made 20 saves.
Leino, a former Red Wings forward, put in a loose puck from the side of the net.
Hamilton opened the scoring for Boston early in the second period. Ferraro tied it with a short-handed
goal midway through the second.
Marchand added an empty-net goal in the final minute.
