Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Islanders signed forward Tim Jackman to a one-year contract extension through 2008-09 on Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 26-year-old Jackman had one goal and three assists in 36 NHL games last season in splitting time between the Islanders and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. Jackman recorded 15 goals and 21 assists in 44 games with Bridgeport.
