Maple Leafs' GM Brian Burke wasn't pulling any punches in his assessment of forward Nik Antropov when speaking to radio station AM 640 on Monday.

"From my take, at this point, I don't see any reason to put a new contract offer on the table here," Burke told AM 640.  "I think that this might be time for a change of scenery for Nik Antropov.  I don't think Nik's play has merited that discussion to this point."

Antropov has spent his entire NHL career with the Maple Leafs since entering the NHL in the 1999-2000 season.

The 6'6 Russian, who turns 29 on February 18th, has 16 goals and 22 assists for the Leafs so far this campaign.

Antropov was picked 10th overall (1st round) in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.

His most productive season came in 2007-08 with 26 goals and 30 assists for 56 points in 72 games.
