VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks have sent forward Sergei Shirokov to the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose.

The 23-year-old Russian appeared in his first three NHL games over the last week and didn't register a point.

Shirokov led the team in scoring during the pre-season with seven points.

A sixth round pick of the Canucks in 2006, Shirokov spent the past four seasons with CSKA Moscow.
