OHL: McDavid's five points put Otters into final
Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters were just too powerful for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. McDavid scored once and added four assists as Erie routed the Greyhounds 7-3 on Saturday night in Game 6 of the Ontario Hockey League's Eastern Conference final to win the series 4-2.

ERIE, Pa. - Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters were just too powerful for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
McDavid scored once and added four assists as Erie routed the Greyhounds 7-3 on Saturday night in Game 6 of the Ontario Hockey League's Eastern Conference final to win the series 4-2.
The Otters will wait to face either the Oshawa Generals or North Bay Battalion in the OHL final.
Alex DeBrincat had a hat trick for Erie with Nicholas Baptiste, Jake Marchment and Nick Betz rounding out the attack.
Jared McCann, Darnell Nurse and Michael Bunting found the back of the net for Sault Ste. Marie.
Devin Williams turned aside 24 shots for the win in net. Brandon Halverson made 22 saves in the loss.
Hayden Verbeek of the Greyhounds received a match penalty for slew footing at 6:21 of the second period.
The Otters converted three times on five power-play chances, while Sault Ste. Marie was 2 for 4.
