Could it be Tebow Time in Toronto?
According to MLB on FOX reporter Ken Rosenthal, the Blue Jays are one of “about eight teams” interested in signing the former NFL quarterback.
The Heisman Trophy winner is going all in on his major-league dream and held a public workout for scouts on August 30, which reportedly impressed the Blue Jays representative.
The 29-year-old’s performance received mixed reviews, however steam has picked up in recent days with Atlanta Braves general manager John Coppolella saying “there’s no risk” in signing the former Denver Broncos pivot to a minor-league deal.
"If it doesn't work, we'll be honest with Tim early, and we can move on,” he said, as quoted by Sports Illustrated “If it does work, it's great for the Braves and it's great for baseball."
The Blue Jays may very well share the sentiment.
