Percy Harvin is reportedly headed to New York.
According to FoxSports.com NFL Insider Jay Glazer, the Seahawks have agreed to a deal to send Harvin to the New York Jets in exchange for a conditional draft pick. He added the trade is contingent upon Harvin passing a physical.
Harvin has 22 receptions in 2014 according to STATS Inc, with 12 of those coming behind the line of scrimmage. He has averaged six yards per catch, which is worst among NFL wide receivers averaging at least two receptions per game.
A six-year NFL veteran, Harvin has played 60 career NFL games between the Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings.
Harvin signed a six-year, $67 million contract with the Seahawks prior to the 2013 season. That deal reportedly included $25.5 million in guaranteed money.
However, he would appear in just one regular season game during the Seahawks' championship 2013 campaign. He has 303 career receptions for an average of 11.4 yards per catch. He has scored 30 career touchdowns, including 20 receptions, five rushes and five kickoff returns.
He underwent hip surgery prior to the 2013 season and was placed on the physically unable to perform list. He was activated prior to Seattle's Week 11 tilt against the Vikings, but experienced inflammation in hip which kept him out for the remainder of the regular season.
Harvin would be in the line-up for the Seahawks at Super Bowl XLVIII, though, and returned the opening kick-off of the second half 87 yards for a touchdown.
