Dallas Stars president Jim Lites issued a statement Wednesday addressing comments made by forwards Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin during an appearance on a Dallas sports talk radio show.

"Jamie Benn has reached out to Henrik and Daniel Sedin to apologize for the radio interview that he was a part of on Monday. The Dallas Stars have the utmost respect for the contributions that the two have made to both the game and to their community over the course of their great careers. We will not be commenting on the situation further."

During their appearance on Dallas 1310 The Ticket's Bob and Dan Show, Benn and Seguin made insensitive comments regarding the Canucks' Daniel and Henrik Sedin.

Henrik Sedin joined Scott Rintoul on TSN Radio 1410 and said the comments made were not a big deal.

"I think it says more about them than it does about us," the team captain said.
