Hamilton Tiger-Cats second round draft pick Mercer Timmis will attend the Carolina Panthers rookie mini-camp this weekend.
The University of Calgary running back will be one of 35 players the Panthers have invited to their rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis, which starts Friday.
Timmis was taken in the second round, 14th overall by the Ticats.
Hamilton lost their first overall draft pick in the 2013 CFL Draft, Linden Gaydosh, after he was signed by the Panthers after a rookie mini-camp tryout shortly after the Ticats drafted him. Gaydosh has since returned to the CFL.
