October 1st is motionball's YellowCard Day, which kicks off a new campaign designed to end the casual use of the "R-word" in everyday conversation. The YellowCard pledge consists of three points:
- I will choose not to use the "R-word" in everyday conversation.
- I will educate others about the link between the "R-Word" and bullying.
- I will raise my hand in support of our friends at Special Olympics Canada and all individuals living with an intellectual disability on YellowCard Day, held annually on October 1st.
TSN host Tessa Bonhomme, a member of the Special Olympics Canada Champions Network, took the YellowCard pledge at the desk in the SportsCentre newsroom. Check out the video above for Tessa's pledge, and raise your hand to become an ambassador right here.
