Eskimos clinch playoff berth in rout of Blue Bombers
The Edmonton Eskimos clinched a playoff berth with a 41-9 thumping of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Commonwealth Stadium on Monday in Week 16 action. The vast majority of the scoring came in the second quarter when Edmonton put up 27 points.

Odell Willis forced a Drew Willy fumble before Dexter McCoil picked up the loose ball and returned it 88 yards for the touchdown. McCoil also had a safety in the quarter. Mike Reilly scored on two quarterback sneaks later in the quarter to extend Edmonton's lead.
Blue Bombers quarterback Drew Willy left the game at halftime with an upper body injury and did not return.
Winnipeg (6-9) is now on a six game losing skid and sit in last place in the West Division, but are still alive in the playoff hunt.
