Former Toronto Argonauts defensive end Victor Butler wants to return to the CFL after taking last season off, and could sign with the Montreal Alouettes, according to TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor.
The 31-year-old Butler had 31 tackles and 10 sacks in 12 games for the Argonauts in 2017, but didn't return to the team in 2018 after saying they were denying him a chance to play in the NFL.
Butler played in the NFL prior to his stint with the Argos, suiting up for the Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, and Arizona Cardinals over five seasons.
