Stan Butler has been named the head coach for Canada's summer Under-18 squad.

The North Bay Battalion bench boss will lead Canada's team into the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament alongside Medicine Hat Tigers head coach Shaun Clouston.

The appointments were announced Tuesday via Team Canada's Men's Team Twitter account.

Canada also announced Tuesday that Kelly McCrimmon has been named an assistant coach on Canada's World Junior team.

McCrimmon announced Monday that he would remain coach of the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings after drawing interest from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a role on the club's staff.
