Iowa Hawkeyes offensive lineman Alaric Jackson topped the Canadian Football League Scouting Bureau’s Fall Edition of the rankings.

The CFL Scouting Bureau publishes rankings of the Top 20 prospects eligible for the CFL Draft. The Fall Edition is the first rankings for the 2021 CFL Draft.

Jackson was named to the pre-season first team All-Big Ten and pre-season second team All-America by Athlon Sports, and the pre-season watch list for the Outland Trophy, given to college football’s top interior lineman. The Windsor, ON native will begin his senior season with Iowa October 24 against Purdue.

Following Jackson in the rankings were Oklahoma State linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga, Virginia receiver Terrell Jana, Tennessee receiver Josh Palmer, and Maine offensive lineman Liam Dobson.

Ogbongbemiga is a three-time first team Academic All-Big 12 and was awarded the Leslie O’Neal Award as Oklahoma State’s defensive MVP last year. The Calgary native has 17 tackles and a sack through two games with the Cowboys this season.

Jana is coming off a solid junior season with Virginia, recording 73 receptions for 878 yards and three touchdowns, including a touchdown in the ACC Championship game against Clemson and another in the Orange Bowl against Florida in 2019. The Vancouver native opened this season with four receptions for 29 yards for the Cavaliers against Duke.

Palmer, who appeared on the 2019 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll, led the Volunteers in receiving in their 2020 opener with six receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown against South Carolina.

Dobson was voted Maine’s Outstanding Offensive Lineman his junior season last year and was also named to STATS FCS All-American Third Team and All-Colonial Athletic Association First Team.

The Top 10 players in the Fall Edition rankings all play in the NCAA, with seven players suiting up for Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools and three for Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) schools. In total 13 of the 20 ranked players play south of the border.

Offensive lineman Pier-Olivier Lestage from Montreal is the top ranked U Sports player at No. 11 on the rankings.

Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard was not included in the rankings because he is am underclassman.
