Pride month is just around the corner and Converse is celebrating louder than ever with a new Pride collection, a digital gallery experience and a debut film from Richie Shazam.

This year’s Converse Pride collection honours the theme of “Found Family”, acknowledging the individuals that lift each other up across the many intersections of the LGBTQIA+ community. The phrase “Family, Unity”, a nod to the theme, is featured across the collection appearing on the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star, and Run Star Motion, as well as a Chuck Taylor All Star Lift Ox, All Star Slide, and for the first time, the One Star, as well as an assortment of apparel. Also featured throughout the collection is Converse’s take on the Pride rainbow, a gradient rainbow print in the shape of the classic Chuck Taylor star, symbolizing unity and the beautiful diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.

A digital campaign titled, “Found Family”, accompanies the release of the collection which showcases personal stories and accounts from more than 50 creatives from Converse’s LGBTQIA+ community around the world. The gallery can be found at Converse.Gallery/found-family and uses a variety of artistic expressions such as photographs, written letters, audio clips and art to share the stories.

To top it all off, a forthcoming film from New York based model, photographer and writer Richie Shazam, made in association with Converse, will tell the story of her connection to her own “Found Family”, and will premiere during the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City in June.
