A day after Arizona State University pulled out of a deal with the Arizona Coyotes to build a new arena in Tempe, sources tell TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger that the Coyotes were shocked by the school’s sudden decision.
The Coyotes are currently playing in Glendale, Arizona in the Gila River Arena, a venue that has been their home since 2003.
In 2015 the City of Glendale terminated the team’s $15 million arena-management deal.
