Kicking off the competition today is a preliminary round match-up with Clarence Denmark and a virtual cast of thousands from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers going up against a tremendous solo effort from Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Duron Carter.

Denmark is getting credit for the play here, but it was truly a combined effort by the Blue Bombers offence. Drawing up something special, Brian Brohm handed the ball off to Paris Cotton, who flipped it to Nick Moore, who then tossed it back to Brohm. The flea flicker was completed by Clarence Denmark, who fought off an Alouettes defender and tracked down Brohm’s bomb of a pass after initially bobbling the ball.

Meanwhile, Carter had to go it alone. The Als’ receiver got behind two Hamilton Tiger-Cats defenders, extended vertically and pulled down a rocket from Jonathan Crompton, while still managing to get his right foot down in bounds for the touchdown.

Voting begins today at poy.tsn.ca with each set of plays being open for a 24-hour period, running Monday to Friday all the way up to the Final match-up on Nov. 28.
