FRISCO, Texas - Fabian Castillo has signed a five-year contract with Major League Soccer's FC Dallas after the midfielder scored a career-best 10 goals last season.

The 22-year-old had four game-winners last year and also set career bests in shots on goal with 32 and total shots with 74.

Castillo is 12th on the club's career scoring list with 20 goals. The Colombian native was acquired as an 18-year-old from Deportivo Cali in 2011.

FC Dallas technical director Fernando Clavijo calls Castillo "the future of this franchise."
