Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Luke Schenn will have surgery on his abdominal muscle/right adductor and will miss the remainder of the season.

Recovery from this type of injury usually takes approximately six weeks.

The 25-year-old has three goals and 11 assists in 58 games this season with the Flyers. 

This is Schenn's third year with the club after he spent the first four seasons of his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
