Philadelphia Flyers forward Sean Couturier will be out 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury, general manager Ron Hextall announced Wednesday.

Couturier got his legs tangled with forward Vincent Trocheck in Tuesday's game against the Florida Panthers. The two spun and appeared to lock up skates. Couturier went down on the ice and Trocheck fell on top of his left ankle.

The Flyers recalled Scott Laughton from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms to replace Couturier.

Couturier is the fifth Flyer to miss time because of an injured left knee this season. The others include Michal Neuvirth, Andrew MacDonald, Scottt Laughton and Michael Del Zotto.

Couturier has five goals and eight points in 20 games.
