Ice Chips: Kadri absent from Leafs skate
Centre Nazem Kadri was absent from the team's gameday skate on Thursday, two days after sustaining a concussion against the St. Louis Blues.

Centre Nazem Kadri was absent from the team's gameday skate on Thursday, two days after sustaining a concussion against the St. Louis Blues.
William Nylander replaced Kadri as the team's third-line centre, skating between Andreas Johnsson and Connor Brown on Thursday morning. Tyler Ennis, who last played on Dec. 22 due to a broken ankle, joined the fourth line with Frederik Gauthier and Par Lindholm.
The team used the following lines Thursday morning, ahead of their game against the Washington Capitals.

According to TSN Edmonton Bureau Reporter Ryan Rishaug, the Edmonton Oilers foward Jesse Puljujarvi may be out longer than expected with the lower-body injury that landed him on injured reserve this week. Rishaug expects an update could come in the near future.

The Senators have recalled forwards Darren Archibald and Filip Chlapik from their AHL affiliate, the Belleville Senators, with Matt Duchene not expected to be in the team's lineup against the Devils. Head coach Guy Boucher said he doesn't know his lineup for tonight's matchup. F Bobby Ryan is questionable but likely to play while there is also a question on his blue line. Anders Nilsson will get the start in net vs. the Devils.

Tim Schaller appears to be back in the lineup after being a healthy scratch in 10 of the last 11 games. Ashton Sautner will make his season debut.
