The 24-year-old has been out of the lineup since Nov. 2 due to a high ankle sprain suffered in a game against the Boston Bruins.
In 10 appearances this season, he has one assist.
TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston says it appears Ilya Samsonov will get the start in goal tonight as Joseph Woll is week-to-week with a high ankle sprain.

Head coach DJ Smith confirmed that forward Jiri Smejkal will make his NHL debut tonight.
The 27-year-old was recalled Friday from the AHL's Belleville Seantors. He has three goals and nine points in 17 games with Belleville this season, his first in the AHL.
Smejkal spent the previous seven seasons playing in Europe, including stints in the KHL, Czech Extraliga, SM Liiga and Sweden.

Rookie defenceman Kevin Korchinski has been placed on non-roster due to a family matter, per head coach Luke Richardson.
Korchinski, 19, has two goals and five assists in 25 games this season.
The team has also recalled defenceman Isaak Phillips from the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
Phillips has one goal and two assists in 10 AHL games this season. In nine appearances with the Blackhawks, the 22-year-old has three assists.
Buffalo Sabres
Defenceman Rasmus Dahlin is in the lineup tonight against the Montreal Canadiens, according to head coach Don Granato.
The Sabres will go with six defencemen as Ryan Johnson is out.
The 23-year-old has six goals and 21 points in 26 games this season. He missed Thursday's game against the Bruins with a lower-body injury after he got hurt on Tuesday against Detroit.
