SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Peja Stojakovic is now an assistant general manager of the Sacramento Kings, after spending the last three seasons with the franchise in other executive capacities.

Stojakovic will now be tasked with aiding Kings general manager Vlade Divac in areas such as player development, talent evaluation and the running of the G League Stockton Kings. Stojakovic had been vice-president of basketball and team development.

Divac says this is an expanded role for Stojakovic, and that his executive experience "is a valuable asset to the Kings."

Stojakovic spent 13 seasons in the NBA, most of which was with Sacramento. He retired from playing in 2011.
