LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Robbie Lawler's welterweight title bout against Carlos Condit has been rescheduled for UFC 195 on Jan. 2.
The mixed martial arts promotion made the announcement late Thursday night.
Lawler and Condit initially were scheduled to meet in Melbourne, Australia, in UFC 193 on Nov. 14. But the UFC said last week that Lawler injured his thumb in training, forcing a postponement.
Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey's fight against Holly Holm was initially scheduled for Jan. 2, but was moved up seven weeks to the Australian show at Etihad Stadium.
Now, Lawler's attempt at a second title defence will replace Rousey's bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The 33-year-old Lawler won his title in December 2014 and defended it in July with a bloody victory over Rory MacDonald.
