Leafs ship Martin to Islanders for McAdam
The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded forward Matt Martin to the New York Islanders in exchange for goalie Eamon McAdam. Martin, who finished with three goals and nine assists in 50 games for the Leafs last season, has two years left on a four-year, $10 million deal.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded forward Matt Martin to the New York Islanders in exchange for goalie Eamon McAdam.
Martin, who finished with three goals and nine assists in 50 games for the Leafs last season, has two years left on a four-year, $10 million deal he signed with Toronto ahead of the 2016-17 season.
The enforcer started his career with the Islanders, and has 50 goals and 59 assists in 570 career NHL games.
McAdam, a 23-year-old third round pick of the Islanders in 2013, split last season between the Isles' AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, and their ECHL affiliate, the Worcester Railers. In nine games in the AHL, McAdam was 5-2 with a 2.77 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. In 29 games in the ECHL he had a 13-10-2 record with a 2.84 GAA and .910 SV%.
