Lil Baby has previewed the release of his new track “Dark Mode” along with Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant.

The 90-second track is part of a new campaign for Beats by Dre and is about channeling your inner beast to succeed. The black and white video showcases both the Grammy Award-winning rapper and one of the most popular players in basketball today as Baby spits about keeping his eye on the ball and looking out for his inner-circle. The song is an ode to his friendship with Morant and is also packed with basketball references and NBA name-drops.

“Ja has been one of my favorite players to watch. We’ve been locked in,” said Lil Baby in a press release. “This is not my first time partnering with Beats, but we took it up a notch with this original song. The world gets to experience ‘Dark Mode’ for the first time in a way that’s crazy!”

The Beats ad was directed by ILLIMITEWORLD and made its debut during Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors on May 7.

“Dark Mode” is the second time in less than a month that an artist has used a Beats By Dre commercial to tease unreleased music. In late-April, rapper Diddy previewed a new single featuring The Weeknd in a Beats ad that starred then-NFL prospect, Kayvon Thibodeaux.
