Panthers deal rights to Krygier to Kings
The Florida Panthers announced the trade of the rights to defenceman Cole Kygier to the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.
Heading the other way will be future considerations.
A native of Novi, MI, Krygier was taken by the Panthers in the seventh-round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft out of the USHL's Lincoln Stars.
The 22-year-old Krygier has spent the past five seasons at Michigan State. He had 10 goals and six assists in 38 games for the Spartans this season.
In 160 games for the Spartans, Krygier recorded 20 goals and 41 assists.
Krygier's twin brother, Christian Krygier, has also spent the past five seasons in East Lansing. Also a defenceman, he was taken in the seventh round of the 2018 draft by the New York Islanders, five picks before his brother (196 and 201).
