With his name mentioned in trade rumours, Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry reiterated his desire to stay with the club on Tuesday.

"I personally want to be in Toronto. I never asked for a trade. My goal is to win a championship here, and that's what I want to do," Lowry told The Athletic's Blake Murphy.  "I've heard all the rumours just like that. I'm sure if anything were to happen management would call me and talk to me and make me aware of anything that was going down."

Lowry was recently linked in trade talk that would send both he and teammate Jonas Valanciunas to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, according to Sports Illustrated's Jake Fischer.

Lowry has been linked to trade rumours as far back as 2013 and also showed support for former teammate DeMar DeRozan when the star guard was involved in the trade that brought Kawhi Leonard to Toronto.

The 31-year-old is averaging 14.1 points, 9.2 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game in 43 contests this season. He was originally listed as doubtful for Tuesday's win over the Philadelphia 76ers by head coach Nick Nurse, but wound up playing 35 minutes.

Lowry, who missed Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Clippers due to a nagging back injury, said Tuesday his relationship with management remains strong.

"That's one of the things where I'm sure we have a good enough relationship to know what is going on," Lowry added. "We have a great group. I think we have just been so banged up and in and out it's been tough. But I think we all know what we want and what the end goal is."

The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
