The Orlando Magic have signed Canadian forward Melvin Ejim to a contract for the 2015-16 season.

The six-foot-six Toronto-born Ejim went undrafted in 2014 after four seasons with Iowa State University. He was unable to catch on with an NBA club after Summer League appearances in 2014 with the Philadelphia 76ers and San Antonio Spurs.

Ejim was a member of Canada's silver medal-winning 2015 Pan Am Games basketball team.

He signed with Italy's Virtus Roma for the 2014-15 season where he averaged 7.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1 steal over 24.1 minutes (47 games).

Ejim participated in the Magic's Summer League games in 2015.

He was named Big 12 Player of the Year in 2013-14 and that season led the Cyclones to both the Big 12 Championship and the NCAA Tournament's Sweet Sixteen.
