Mendes, McGregor make weight for UFC 189

The interim featherweight title fight is official as both Connor McGregor and Chad Mendes made weight for their UFC 189 headlining fight. McGregor weighed 145, while Mendes tipped the scale at 144.5 before the two fighters had to be separated by UFC president Dana White, but left the stage without incident. The UFC 189 prelims can be seen live on TSN5, Saturday at 8pm et/5pm pt.

Canadian Rory McDonald and champion Robbie Lawler also made weight for their welterweight championship co-main event bout.
