Oubre Jr. staying with 76ers
Free agent guard Kelly Oubre Jr. has agreed on a two-year, $16.3 million deal to stay with the Philadelphia 76ers, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Oubre Jr. played in 68 games with the 76ers last season, his first with the team, where he averaged 15.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Originally selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 15th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the 28-year-old out of New Orleans has made stops with the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets in his nine-year career.
He finished seventh in Sixth Man of the Year voting in the 2021-22 season with Charlotte, but made 52 starts to help the 76ers qualify for the NBA Playoffs this past season.
In 595 career NBA games, Oubre has averaged 13.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
Jones Jr. signs with Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers have signed at least one piece to replace the whole left by the departure of Paul George.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that Los Angeles has agreed to sign free agent forward Derrick Jones Jr. to a three-year deal worth $30 million.
Jones Jr. averaged 8.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game in 76 games with the Dallas Mavericks last season.
The Clippers are the 27-year-olds sixth NBA team, after he debuted with the Phoenix Suns in 2016-17 and made stops with the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls and the Mavericks.
Caldwell-Pope, Magic agree to three-year, $66M deal
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope intends to sign a three-year, $66 million contract with the Orlando Magic after spending the last two seasons with the Denver Nuggets.
Caldwell-Pope, 31, averaged 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 80 games in 2023-24.
Sixers set to meet with George
The Philadelphia 76ers are set to meet with free-agent forward Paul George and are considered the frontrunners to sign him, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
George entered the market after declining the $48.7 million option on his contract with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The nine-time All-Star averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 74 games last season.
Cunningham to sign mega deal with Pistons
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports Cade Cunningham will sign a five-year, $226 million maximum rookie extension with the Detroit Pistons.
Cunningham, who was selected first overall by the Pistons in 2021, averaged 22.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 62 games in 2023-24.
Earlier Sunday, the Pistons reportedly agreed on a four-year deal with J.B. Bickerstaff to become their new head coach.
Harden staying with Clippers
Point guard James Harden plans to sign a two-year, $70 million contract to return to the Los Angeles Clippers, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Harden, who was acquired in a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers in November, averaged 16.6 points, 8.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds in 72 games last season.
Jazz waiving Yurtseven
The Utah Jazz are planning to waive centre Omer Yurtseven, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Yurtseven, who becomes an unrestricted free agent, averaged 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 48 games during the 2023-24 season.
Love finalizing two-year deal with Heat
Forward Kevin Love is reportedly set to stay with the Miami Heat on a two-year, $8 million deal, as per The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Love joined the Heat in February after being waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In 55 games split between the Heat and Cavs last season, Love averaged 8.8 points and 6.1 rebounds.
Paul joins Spurs
Chris Paul will reportedly sign a one-year deal, $11M deal with the San Antonio Spurs after being waived by the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
Paul averaged 9.2 points and 6.8 assists in 58 games in 2023-24.
Christie to sign four-year deal with Lakers
Guard Max Christie, a restricted free agent, intends to sign a four-year, $32 million contract to return to the Los Angles Lakers, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Christie, 21, is entering his third season in the NBA after being selected 35th overall in 2022.
He averaged 4.2 points and shot 35.6 per cent from three-point range last season.
Porter Jr. to sign with Clippers
Kevin Porter Jr. will reportedly make his return to the NBA on a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
The 24-year-old guard-forward last played in the NBA for the Houston Rockets during the 2022-23 campaign and registered 19.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists in 59 games.
Drummond lands with 76ers
The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that centre Andre Drummond plans to sign a two-year deal worth at least $10 million with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Drummond, 30, averaged 8.4 points and 9.0 rebounds in 79 games for the Chicago Bulls last season.
Celtics keeping Queta on multi-year deal
The Boston Celtics and big man Neemias Queta have agreed on a multi-year contract, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
Queta spent his first two seasons in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings before joining the Boston Celtics for the 2023-24 season.
The 24-year-old Utah State product averaged 5.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 28 regular-season games for the Celtics.
Clippers looking to move Westbrook
The Los Angeles Clippers are actively working to trade guard Russell Westbrook, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Westbrook, 35, reportedly picked up his $4-million dollar option for next season on Saturday.
The nine-time All-Star tallied 11.1 points, five rebounds and 4.5 assists in 68 games last season, primarily in a reserve role.
Thunder showing interest in Hartenstein
The Athletics' Shams Charania reports the Oklahoma City Thunder are set to meet with free-agent centre Isaiah Hartenstein.
Hartenstein spent the last two season with the New York Knicks and posted 7.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in 75 games in 2023-24.
Thompson sets sights on free agency
Free-agent guard Klay Thompson, who has spent his entire NBA career playing for the Golden State Warriors, plans to have discussions with the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Thompson, 34, appeared in 77 games for the Warriors in 2023-24 with averages of 17.9 points and 38.7 per cent shooting from long range.
Gordon agrees to deal with 76ers
The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that guard Eric Gordon has agreed to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Gordon, 35, averaged 11.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 68 games last season with the Phoenix Suns.
Marshall to Mavericks
Forward Naji Marshall has agreed on a three-year, $27 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Marshall, 26, played the first four years of his NBA career with the New Orleans Pelicans and registered 7.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 66 games last season.
Plumlee signs with Suns
Mason Plumlee will sign a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The 34-year-old centre had averages of 5.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 46 games with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2023-24.
