Bedard appears to be cleared for some contact in practice as he has shed his non-contact jersey.

Bedard has yet to play this season due to a shoulder injury he sustained over the summer. The 21-year-old had the best year of his career in 2025-26, scoring 30 goals for the first time while putting up 75 points.

"I don't want to say until I know more factual stuff from the appointment. I don't even know when it is yet, so until I know for sure — there's a little bit of fluidity there that I have to deal with," Blashill said when asked if Tuesday was a possible return date.
