Montreal Canadiens
Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield skated with the team Monday for the first time since undergoing surgery on his shoulder.
The 22-year-old suffered the injury on Dec. 23 against the Dallas Stars in an awkward fall and then again on Jan. 3 in Nashville but was able to pop it back into place both times.
A native of Wisconsin, Caufield scored a career-high 26 goals to go with 36 points before his season was cut short.
Columbus Blue Jackets
The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that goaltender Jet Greaves has been recalled from the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League and goaltender Jon Gillies has been assigned to the Monsters.
The 21-year-old from Cambridge, Ont., has a record of 28-26-9 record with a 3.06 goals-against-average, a .900 save percentage and two shutouts.
The Blue Jackets also assigned forward Justin Richards to the AHL's Monsters.
Richards, 25, was added to the roster on emergency recall from the Monsters on April 1. The Orlando, Fla., native made his Blue Jackets debut that night vs. Florida and picked up his first point with the club with an assist in the Blue Jackets 4-3 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators.
In 54 games played this season, Richards has 10 goals and 35 points.
