Bruins sign F Lucic to one-year, $1M deal

Milan Lucic has returned to the Boston Bruins as a free agent on a one-year, $1 million contract, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun.
LeBrun also reports the deal includes performance bonuses.
Lucic was originally drafted by the Bruins in the second round (50th overall) in 2006 and spent eight years with the team, winning a Stanley Cup in 2011.
In 77 games last season with the Calgary Flames, Lucic scored seven goals with 19 points.
In 1,173 NHL games, the Vancouver, B.C., product has 233 goals and 584 points split between the Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers and Flames.
Shattenkirk signs in Boston
Defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk is joining the Bruins on a one-year deal worth around $1 million, according to TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston.
The 34-year-old had four goals and 27 points in 75 games last season with the Anaheim Ducks, his third with the team.
A first-round pick (14th overall) by the Colorado Avalanche at the 2007 NHL Draft, Shattenkirk won a Stanley Cup championship with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020. He was named an All-Star in 2015.
The New Rochelle, N.Y., product has 97 goals and 460 points in 891 career NHL games split between the Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Lightning and Ducks.
