Ottawa Fury FC has earned itself a meeting with Toronto FC.
Carl Haworth scored in the 21st minute as Ottawa beat AS Blainville 1-0 on Wednesday to advance to the Canadian Championship semifinal where it will face the reigning MLS champions.
The United Soccer League's Fury opened the two-legged set with a 1-0 road win over the Quebec league champions in Laval, Que., on June 20 to take the series by aggregate 2-0.
Haworth, Ottawa's captain and longest serving player, got to a loose ball in the box off a broken play and blasted it past the 'keeper before running to the corner and using the flag to pat the sweat from his forehead in celebration.
Ottawa will meet TFC on July 18 for the first match of the two-legged set.
The Montreal Impact will host Vancouver Whitecaps FC in an all-MLS matchup in the other semifinal.
Last season Toronto FC became the second Canadian Championship winner in four years to make it to the CONCACAF Champions League Final in 2018.
The Voyageurs Cup will be presented to the winners of the Canadian Championship on Aug. 15.
Blainville advanced to the second round with a 3-1 aggregate win over League 1 Ontario champion Oakville.
