Senators acquiring Zetterlund, Robins from Sharks

The Ottawa Senators are acquiring forwards Fabian Zetterlund, Tristen Robins, and a fourth-round pick from the San Jose Sharks for Zack Ostapchuk, Noah Gregor and a 2025 second-round pick, the teams announced Friday.

The 25-year-old Zetterlund has scored 17 goals and 36 points in 64 games this season.

Drafted 62rd overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2017, the winger has 50 goals and 61 assists in 227 career games. He was acquired by the Sharks as part of the return for Timo Meier in 2024.

The Karlstad, Sweden native is set to become a restricted free agent following the season.

Robins, a second-round selection of the Sharks in the 2020 draft, has made 41 appearances for the Sharks' AHL affiliate, San Jose Barracuda, scoring seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points.

In 149 games for the Barracuda, the London, England native has registered 31 goals and 74 points. He has made appeared in just three NHL appearances over the course of his career, coming with the Sharks during the 2022-23 season.

Ostapchuk, 21, has suited up in 43 games with the Sens this season, scoring one goal and adding three assists. He was selected 39th overall by the Senators in the 2021 NHL Draft.

Gregor, a six-year NHL veteran, spent the first four years of his career in San Jose, and now heads back to the team that drafted him in the fourth round of the 2016 Draft.

In 281 games played between the Sharks, Maple Leafs, and Senators, the Beaumont, Alta. native has scored 36 goals and 33 assists for 69 points.
