Veteran Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp will retire at season's end, according to Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune.
The 36-year-old has spent 16 years in the NHL, most notably with Chicago where he helped the 'Hawks capture three Stanley Cups.
Sharp has scored 287 goals and 333 assists over 938 career games with the Philadelphia Flyers, Blackhawks and Dallas Stars. He also has 47 goals and 40 assists over 142 playoffs games.
The native of Winnipeg was selected in the third round, 90th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
Chicago plays Winnipeg Saturday night in their last game of the season.
