The Cleveland Cavaliers are signing veteran Kendrick Perkins to their final roster spot according to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski and Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Perkins was with the Cavaliers during the preseason and also played 27 games with the Canton Charge of the G-League, where he averaged 8.7 points and 7.2 rebounds in 21.2 minutes per game.

The 33-year-old has not appeared in the NBA since playing 37 games with the New Orleans Pelicans during the 2015-16 season.  He posted 2.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game during his time with the Pelicans.

Perkins has already had a regular season stint with Cavs, he was a member of the team in 2014-15 where he appeared in 17 regular season games and eight playoff games.

The Nederland, Texas native has also played five season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and eight with the Boston Celtics including the NBA championship campaign of 2007-08.
