The UFC 196 main event is off as a broken foot in training has forced UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos to pull out of his title fight with Conor McGregor.

As of right now, the UFC is scrambling to find a replacement for Dos Anjos (25-7 MMA, 14-5 UFC) for the March 5 card.

Donald Cerrone (29-7 MMA, 16-4 UFC), who lost to Dos Anjos by TKO in December, is coming off of a first-round submission of Alex Oliveira at a UFC Fight Night last weekend. The 32-year Cerrone is no stranger to taking fights on short notice. He claimed unanimous decision wins over Myles Jury and Benson Henderson in a 15-day span last January.

This is a sort of deja vu for McGregor (19-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC), the UFC Featherweight Champion. The 27-year-old Irishman has had opponents two of his last three fights suffer injuries in training, most notably Jose Aldo last summer ahead of their featherweight title fight. McGregor would go on to claim the title from Aldo in December with a first-round knockout.

UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, Holly Holm (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) will make her first title defence against Miesha Tate (17-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) in UFC 196's co-main event.
