Report: Isles' Pulock, Eberle to play in WHC
It appears the New York Islanders will be well represented on Team Canada at the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. According to Arthur Staple of The Athletic, Islanders defenceman Ryan Pulock and forward Jordan Eberle have accepted invitations to play for Canada.

It appears the New York Islanders will be well represented on Team Canada at the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
According to Arthur Staple of The Athletic, Islanders defenceman Ryan Pulock and forward Jordan Eberle have accepted invitations to play for Canada.
Islanders rookie Mathew Barzal announced Tuesday he is would be playing for Canada at the tournament in Denmark next month.
Pulock, 23, has nine goals and 30 points in 66 games with the Islanders this season, his first full year in the NHL. He did not make Canada's world juniors team in his eligible years and last wore the Maple Leaf at the under-18 world juniors in 2012.
Eberle, who was acquired from the Edmonton Oilers last summer, is set to play at the tournament for the sixth time in his career. He owns only one medal from the worlds - a gold from 2015.
The 27-year-old has 25 goals and 59 points in 79 games with the Islanders this season.
It's unknown if Islanders captain John Tavares will play in the tournament for the fourth time in his career.
The three Islanders join Buffalo Sabres forward Ryan O'Reilly as confirmed participants. Carolina Hurricanes head coach Bill Peters is expected to serve as the team's bench boss.
The tournament will run from May 4-20 in Denmark.
