SK Telecom T1 are on top of the League of Legends world once again.
The Korean heavyweights defeated Counter Logic Gaming 3-0 to win the 2016 Mid-Season Invitational on Sunday and earn their fourth major tournament victory in the last year.
The defending world champions came out flying in Game 1, making a statement with multiple early kills. The snowball began and SKT was far too dominant by the late game, cruising to a convincing victory.
Game 2 featured the exact same team comps from the opener and CLG looked more prepared this time around. The North American club couldn’t put together a full game and made too many mistakes, eventually falling into a 0-2 series hole.
The third and final game was similar to the first with SKT gaining an early lead and snowballing to victory and the MSI title.
In addition to the 2015 worlds and MSI, SKT has also won three straight splits in the LCK (2015 Spring/Summer, 2016 Spring).
CLG became the first North American team to appear in the finals of a Riot-sponsored international tournament.
